This saturated green jade captures the sunlight and provides depth because it is semi translucent. Throughout the gemstone are light sage green snowflakes. I cut and polished this jade in my studio and formed it to be a tall arcing dome. It is a freeform oval shape. I set the jade in sterling silver on a 4 mm wide hammered ring band. This jade was sourced in the state of Wyoming, and in the Rocky Mountains, where jade is the state’s official gemstone. There is a well known and wonderful deposit of the stone there and the material from wyoming is known for its natural beauty.
