Description
Hand Tooled Garnet Feather, size 8, sterling silver. A 5mm red garnet is set on a one inch silver feather on top of a 4mm wide tooled ring band.
To create the Hand Tooled Jewelry collection I swirl a spiral, recall lines of nature, and pop shiny dots using steel chasing tools. Each piece is slowly imprinted as I repeatedly strike the gold and silver until it becomes a whole design. Patterns recollect organic textures and cross hatching of pen and ink.
Earrings in this collection have mirror image patterns in lightweight gold and silver that is comfortable to wear. Rings can be individually worn and stacked together to combine textures. Pendants create a focal point of one shape and necklaces gather multiple pieces. Some works include colorful gemstones that I have set into the metal. All are individually made in my studio.
Due to the individual nature in the creation of this jewelry there are variations in each piece.
