Description
I found this quartzite in the high sagebrush desert south of my Wyoming town and it has reddish-brown stripes. The stones appear opaque but when held to a bright light some secret translucence appears because of its quartz crystalline structure.
I have hammered and bent a single strip of silver to hang these earrings on handmade silver ear wires. I drilled a tiny hole and riveted this strip to the stone to allow for just a touch of glittering silver above the beautiful naturally colored stone.
These are medium/long in length and 1 3/4 inches not including ear wires.
