Magic Dendritic Quartz Ring

Description

I have been holding this stunning dendritic quartz for over 10 years in my collection of gems and finally decided to set it in a ring for a lucky customer. This stone contains little branches of mineral inclusions and also has a blush of yellow citrine color in its center. Dendron means tree in Greek and the quartz gems that hold these inclusions is called dendritic. I surrounded this gem in 14K yellow gold to compliment the yellow color within and I backed it with shiny silver so that light will reflect back and show the little world within. I made a hand tooled ring band with a branchlike texture that meets the ring at the same spots as its dendrite branches. Ring is 3mm wide and the gem is approximately 18x14mm.
