These are two oval drops of translucent, swirled green jade that was found in Mendocino County, California. The jade is a mix of light and medium green and has white veins and spots of black. I bought the rough stone from a rock hound and then cut and polished the jade in my studio; I like to make it thin so that it shows off the translucency of the jade. I custom made a silver rivet to attach the drops to hammered flourishes of silver.
