This pendant features green, Wyoming sourced, jade. I made a bezel setting in sterling silver for it and it hangs on an 18″ silver ball chain. The stone is is medium in size, about 1/2″ x 3/4″ and is cut with as a round top loaf style cabochon.
Nephrite jade is found in the center of Wyoming and is the official state gemstone, the Wyoming variety often has mineral inclusions that create dots and other patterns in different greens, whites and grey.
