“Expansion” Print

$45.00

A vibrant reproduction of my painting, “Expansion”. Colorful rays of color expand from a center point. “Expansion” is part of a collection of paintings that I made that explore the ideas and concepts of time. The original painting is acrylic on thick paperboard and is 47″x48″. This is a 11″ x 14″ archival art print. Each is signed and numbered.

From the exhibit “Illustrations of Time”: To keep the world organized, humans agree upon mechanical timekeeping but time is so much more than a mechanical and linear idea. There are abstract thoughts like the fourth dimension, expansion, simultaneous, or parallel time. Animals keep time through migration, plants through growth cycles. The perception of time passing is totally different between a bumblebee and a human. There are the massive time keepers of planets turning, and deep time like rock formation. Time can be various shapes and warp from quick to slow instantaneously. I have begun to think of all of these times working together in symphony as “The Time Ecosystem.”

Imagine you are at the centerpoint of “Expansion” and all light and energy is radiating out from every direction, time could be among the energy.
