Description
Have you ever sat in a field of wildflowers high up in the mountains? It’s a wonderful experience. This pendant is a small sculpture of mountain wildflowers and rugged rocky peaks; on the back are moonlit snowy peaks. The wildflowers I was modeling are alpine columbine, phlox, lupine, and bluebells…but of course they also look similar to many other blooms. Dropping down to the flowers is a small swoosh that could be a mountain stream or hiking trail coming from a pass. And beyond that are towering peaks that resemble ones I’ve seen while hiking. On the back of the pendant is a crescent moon radiating moonlight in a sky of stars; it hangs above sharp peaks that each have a smooth face like big snow fields, a calm and quiet winter night.
I carved this scene out of jeweler’s wax with tiny tools and then had it cast in sterling silver. The pendant is 7/8″ in diameter.
Comes on a 18″ sterling silver cable chain.
Sterling Silver.
