Description
This is a very large piece of sparkling lapis lazuli. I carved this stone to have orient two stripes of pyrite traveling the length. Like stars or milky ways they sparkle in the beautiful blue body of the lapis lazuli. Lapis lazuli often has pyrite and specks of white calcite mixed into the blue. I set this gem on a wide hand tooled ring band, tooled with an abstract pattern inspired by feathers. The ring band is approximately 8mm wide and the stone is 1/2″ x 1 1/4″. It’s fun and empowering to wear a big colorful ring like this and I made it comfortable to wear.
