Egyptian Rays Necklace

When I look at this necklace I can’t help but think of one of my favorite eras of jewelry history, ancient Egypt. I did not set out to create an ancient necklace but there is something in this necklace that reminds me of those designs: geometry, hand wrought, turquoise, rays. This necklace has dozens of hand formed and hammered silver rays that are attractively separated by small turquoise rectangles. I found the turquoise beads over a decade ago but have held on to them until I found just the right project. This is it! The rays go halfway up the circle of the necklace and lay beautifully around the neck.

This necklace is a little adjustable from 18-20″, with a handmade silver clasp.
